Teton Sunset

Elk Ranch Viewpoint, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming

Notes: Just two hours before this picture was taken, heavy clouds were settled in over Jackson Hole, and I had great hope for the upcoming sunset. But as I came out after dinner to capture the scene, I found almost all the clouds had disappeared, and I drove much further North through the park than I had planned in order to get these wispy clouds framed over the Tetons. A small cloud clings to Grand Teton, glowing a distinct rose red in contrast to the higher clouds.
