Silent Sentinels

Silent City, Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah

Notes: Moisture from snow and rain enhanced the early morning colors of these Hoodoos. All trails were closed into the amphitheaters, and as I sat out in the fog only an hour after taking this shot, I knew why: the erosion that formed this place was quite audible, from small pebbles to significant chunks could be heard falling from the unstable Hoodoo rock.
