Hillside Shrine

Shrine Pass, White River National Forest, Colorado

Notes: This profuse bloom of Mountain Chiming Bells and Colorado Blue Columbine, set against a colorful spray of Lichen, is a modest display of the variety of flowers to be found near Shrine Ridge. While other species carpet large areas around Shrine Pass, this very typical Colorado combination is limited to a very small patch along a sunny hillside.
