Maple Grove

Hoh Rain Forest, Olympic National Park, Washington

Notes: Within the magical place that is the Hoh Rain Forest is an enchanted grove of ancient Maple trees, draped with mosses and skirted with ferns, Oxalis, and other ground plants. The Maple Grove can be reached by following the Hall of Mosses trail and taking a small, marked spur trail into the grove. To protect the ground cover, the park has fenced off the grove itself, but you can sit in awe of the scenery from the view area on one side of the grove.
