Golden Ruby Sunset

Ruby Beach, Olympic National Park, Washington

Notes: Ruby Beach is a bit of a drive from most accommodations, but it attracts a crowd at sunset for its beautiful scenery. At low tide, the beach has a nice, sandy beach that holds water, creating a shimmering plane that reflects the sunset famously. On the evening I took this picture, the gathered crowd would have detracted from images taken on the beach, but this river outlet provided a nice backup location.
