Notes: The Green Gentian is sometimes called the Monument Plant, and in Spring its flower stalks rise above the surrounding grasses, sometimes reaching the height of a full-grown man! The Gentian family is surprisingly diverse, and the dense spikes of white-green flowers of the Monument Plant bear little resemblance to its mostly blue-flowering relatives in other parts of Colorado.
