Kid Love

Mount Evans, Arapaho National Forest, Colorado

Notes: I went up to Mount Evans several times in June 2005 to try to photograph the local Mountain Goat population, but was frustrated for weeks in a row. Finally I went up later in the month and the herd had re-appeared with their young. Four kids romped unsurely around the rock piles while the adult goats spent time munching on alpine flowers and attempting madly to get rid of their shedding fur. Eventually they settled down, and I managed to capture this touching moment.
