White Bog Orchid

Wild Basin, Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado

Notes: Orchids are not always showy, and, contrary to popular opinion, are not just found in the tropics and Florida. The White Bog Orchid is found in cool, wet areas in mountain forests. It is often overlooked by hikers because of its tiny flowers - this image was taken at the maximum macro magnification I have with my lenses.
