Notes: Nestled in the crevices of a rocky hillside, this tiny Mountain Ball Cactus puts forth an early but fleeting bloom. In this demanding environment, ball cacti don't usually grow larger than a few inches. Hundreds of cars pass by this miniature beauty every day during the summer months; if I hadn't seen it in bloom, I would never have known it was there!
